The hosts, Wettingen opened the scoring in the 5th minute via Messerli, Complutense replied in the 7th minute from Cobos. Much to the delight of the partisan crowd Wettingen scored again in the 33rd minute, which was enough to secure the win, 5 points and 11 points in the pool, enough to consolidate their position in the Club Cup for 2019. Complutense unfortunately lose their place in the Club Cup in 2019 with only 5 points in Pool C.

Game 18: Surbiton HC v SV Arminen 1 – 4 (0 – 2)

A reverse flick at the top of the circle in the 5th minute from Arminen’s Minar opened the scoring 0-1 to the Austrians.  Armenin’s second came from a turnover in play, controlled from the back by Rachwalski, one pass then onto the stick of Grandits who slotted home in the 12th minute to make it 0-2 and that’s how the score remained at half-time. A 3rd goal, a direct pc strike from Rachwalski just after the break pushed Armenin well ahead. Surbiton went for a power play to try to reduce the deficit but conceded again as Bele shot into an empty goal in the 36th minute. Forsyth did strike a pc for Surbiton in the 40th minute, but it was too little too late for the Englishmen.
