Their record in EHCC:

A testament to just how tough this event is, this will be Mannheim’s first appearance in the EHCC. Also a demonstration on how a club’s strong youth structure can lead to a successful senior team!

A bit about Mannheimer HC:

The Mannheim hockey club, founded in 1907, sees itself as a club that combines success at the highest sporting level with responsible training of young players.

With close to 1,000 members (including 500 young people), they pursue their passion, indoor and outdoor hockey at the club’s fantastic facilities; four artificial grass courts, two indoor courts and in Germany’s only air-inflated hall.

One of the biggest sporting successes of the MHC is the 16 German Championships of its youth teams since 1975, as well as the German Indoor Championships for Men (2010) and Women (2016) and the Men’s European Championships in the Hall (2011).

The club is dedicated to team sport and emphasizes values such as team spirit and social cooperation even at youth level.  According to the MHC statutes, success requires not only the fun of the game, but also the appropriate attitude towards fair competition. With this principle, it is always possible to create the balancing act between “popular sports” and “competitive sports” and to attract young people to responsible personalities.

One to watch:

Mannheimer currently sit top of their domestic league and Sonja Zimmermann will provide a threat from penalty corners. This young German International has been on great form this season.
