“A very important issue for us is the participation of our hockey team at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. Our girls are the reserve team, if possible we would love if this team could participate.”said Andrei Astashevich.

Tom Pedersen-Smith thanked the Belarus NOC for the wonderful reception and noted that he would do his utmost to support Belarus Hockey in their ambitions of education and growth.

He also said that he is delighted to be at the Euro Asia Youth Festival “It is important that we continue to support the great work that has been done by Belarus Hockey over the past number of years. This Festival is a wonderful way to start Olympic week here in Europe! It is wonderful to see the young players learning all the important lessons of the spirit of the Olympics; move, learn, discover, as they play hockey, have fun and get some fantastic coaching from our KNHB coaches who are here to support us this week.”
