Pool B
Pool B was a much tighter affair at the top as hosts Wales and Scotland could only be separated by goal difference, both earned 7 points in the pool. A 3-3 draw on the opening day with a flurry of goals from Wales in the 3rd quarter after Scotland had taken a 3-0 advantage, shows the gut and determination of the Welsh boys to shine in front of the home crowd. Scotland had the better of Czech Republic with a 3-1, it could have been more had they converted pc chances. Scotland powered past Switzerland 6-1. The hosts had tighter wins but still did enough 3-2 v Czech Republic and 2-0 v Switzerland to earn their place in the semi-final.
