The 30th General Assembly of the EHF took place on Friday 2nd November in New Delhi, India.
34 National Associations were in attendance. Azerbaijan, Croatia, Georgia, Gibraltar, Israël, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia and Moldova could not attend the General Assembly.
Dr Narinder Dhruv Batra, FIH President, attended part of the meeting along with FIH CEO Thierry Weil. Dr Batra welcomed all the delegates and was presented with a gift from the EHF to thank him for his hospitality in India.
Marijke Fleuren, EHF President, reported about the past year, which has been a success in many ways for Europe. She presented the EHF values and how there are implemented in all our actions as well.
The accounts were approved for 2017 and the budget for 2018 and 2019 were also approved along with the proposal to keep the subscriptions for 2019 and 2020 the same as 2018.
Angus Kirkland, Director General, announced the launch of the new EHF Athletes Committee, which will be elected in 2019 and presented at the next General Assembly. He also reminded all the delegates about the new withdrawal procedure, which has been working well until now.
The 31st General Assembly will take place in Antwerp along with the EuroHockey Championships 2019.
