On Friday 7th December we honour International day for persons with disabilities (3rd December) as we hold our annual forum on ParaHockey and hockey4all forum in the EHF Head Office, Brussels.
One of the values of the EHF is Inclusivity and our mission is to deliver on that value with actions to ensure that we include more hockey players, especially those with disabilities.
The day which will be attended by representatives from Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, England, Italy, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Russia. In addition, we will be supported by the FIH ParaHockey Sports Director, Norman Hughes and members of the EHF Youth Panel (who will deliver the 2019 Euro ParaHockey ID Championships)
- Discussions and presentations on grassroots development through to performance pathways will be shared
- Exploring how, why and when to use classifications systems for players
- 2019 Euro ParaHockey Championships, Antwerp
- The diverse growth of ParaHockey formats and what we can all do to shape hockey in Europe to be more inclusive for everyone
We will report on the meeting and our plans for the future of ParaHockey in Europe and how we can help the FIH with the growth of ParaHockey Worldwide.
