#MotivationMonday – Helen Richardson Walsh to speak at the Youth Leadership Festival

Posted On 10th December 2018

Next summer we are changing the game and reaching out to young leaders around Europe to GET INVOLVED! We are really thrilled to announce that Helen Richardson Walsh will be one of the guest speakers at the upcoming Youth Leadership Festival in Antwerp. She will be delivering on values and we are very excited about what she has to say!

The programme is shaping up to be an unmissable opportunity for young leaders.

Take a look at the schedule:

EHF Youth Leadership Festival Schedule

The Festival runs from 13th to 17th August 2019 and is aimed at youth leaders aged between 16-30 at the start of the festival.

Helen apart from being a Gold Olympian has devoted her life to being the voice for other people. Earlier this year she generously accepted the role of EHF ParaHockey Ambassador. We asked Helen why, following her retirement, she would devote herself to access to sport for all she said “I always felt that I was one of the lucky ones. I had lots of support and the opportunity to play all sports, not just hockey! Not everybody has that opportunity and that’s not right.” She added that “sport is incredible and sport gives you so much more than what you see out on the field. For me to be involved in trying to help grow ParaHockey, everyone should have the opportunity to play hockey, the game we love.” Click here for the full interview.

Honestly, we could listen to Helen speaking from the heart about her life experiences for hours… Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this game-changing event!

And don’t forget selfpass has partnered with us for this event – so there will be tricks, skillers and a rumour of some goodies on offer!

Keep an eye out for more speakers to be announced very soon!

Contact your National Association to make sure you are the nominated candidate (only 2 per country, get your voice heard..)
