#FridayFocus – EHF Coach Education Programmes

Posted On 25th January 2019

This week our #FridayFocus is about coach education. Mentors from across the EHF coach education programmes came together on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd January at the EHF Head Office, Brussels, Belgium.

Supported by the FIH Academy the meeting was themed around practical learning elements of a mentors role and the content of coaching programmes.

The meeting was specifically tailored around the EHF coach development programmes, TCP (Top Coaches Programme) and C4E (Coaches 4 Europe). Assigned sessions where given to each mentor to explore delivery types and build upon content. It was a fluid learning environment with a range of discussions around coach development where deeply covered.  These sessions focused on the outcome of coaches and mentors roles and needs, building upon all training elements for FIH Academy Educators.

A specific session was also held about new online monitoring, feedback and assessment programme the EHF will use for coaches on these programmes (which will be announced shortly). It was agreed between all parties that the EHF and mentors commit to holding an annual EHF mentor meeting and The EHF will launch the new online platform for assessment for coaches in 2019.
