EuroHockey Indoor Clubs gets underway

Posted On 5th February 2019

With the conclusion of the domestic indoor seasons all over Europe over the past 3 weeks, it’s time now for champions from around Europe to pit themselves against each other in the EuroHockey Club Championships.

We have a number of divisions and historically a men’s weekend followed by a women’s weekend. But in 2019 there is a different order as the Men’s Trophy and Challenge events will get underway in Sveti Ivan Zelina, Oslo and Varna, 8/10 February. Our EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup will be held 15/17 February, the reason for the change is that the host Armenin HC is celebrating its 100-year anniversay and are also hosting the Women’s Club Trophy. A great reason to celebrate and a wonderful venue for a double event in the Stadehalle in Vienna!

We are delighted that 2 of our venues will have Livestreaming, Sveti Ivan Zelina and Varna. Due to technical reasons, we couldn’t get the stream organised in Oslo, but there will certainly be plenty of action at all three venues!

EuroHockey Indoor Club Trophy:

At the Trophy England and Spain were relegated in 2018, so with 2 strong teams in the mix (East Grinstead and Complutense) this makes for a really top level event! Grunwald and Slavia are recently promoted and will be looking to at least stay at this level, Grunwald having often been in the top flight (Club Cup) in the past will be digging deep into their experience to climb that ladder again!

All games will be streamed LIVE on www.eurohockeytv.org

Pool A:

Team
 Soerbymagle HC (DEN)
 Gaziante Polisgücü SK(TUR)
 East Grinstead (ENG)
 Amiens SC (FRA)

Pool B:

Team
 WKS Grunwald Poznan (POL)
 SK Slavia Prague (CZE)
 Hockey Klub Zelina (CRO)
 C.H. SPV Complutense (ESP)

EuroHockey Indoor Club Challenge I:

Italy and Scotland are the teams that came down from the Trophy in 2018, and this year it’s experienced Iverleith (SCO) and HT Bologna (ITA) that are the representatives. Three Rock Rovers (IRL) and the hosts Krinsgsja SK (NOR) are the teams that won promotion from Challenge II last year. Indeed huge thanks are due to our hosts who stepped up to offer to host when indeed the event was not going to take place due to a lack of host! So all the best to them on hosting and on the field! Only one team will be relegated from here, so hopes are high for the teams to stay or indeed to get promoted to the dizzy heights of the Club Trophy!

Pool A:

Team
 SK Senkvice (SVK)
 Kringsja Sports Klubb (NOR)
 Inverleith HC (SCO)
 AD Lousada (POR)

Pool B:

Team
 Three Rock Rovers (IRL)
 Hockey Team Bologna (ITA)
 HC OKS-SHVSM Vinnitsa (UKR)
 Cardiff & Met (WAL)

EuroHockey Indoor Club Challenge II:

Again all games will be Live Streamed on www.eurohockeytv.org

A difficult event to predict as all teams will be battling for the one promotional slot! Triglav and Soroksari are the most experienced teams there, so it’s likely that they will be in the final shakeup on Sunday!

One Pool:

Team
 Club Adjara (GEO)
 FHC Akademik Plus Sofia (BUL)
 HC Kilppari (FIN)
 HK Elektrovojvodina (SRB)
 HK Triglav Predanovci (SLO)
