The Final edition of the EuroHockey Club Cup

We are now on the countdown for the final edition of the EuroHockey Club Cup for women. From 19th – 22nd April 2019 in Amsterdam Hockey and Bandy Club the top 8 ranked women’s clubs from around Europe with be competing for the 10th EuroHockey Club Cup.

As already announced from 2020 the top women’s club teams will compete under the EHL banner, under the EHF’s commitment to ensuring gender balance within hockey, on and off the field. 

On 19th April at 12.15 the event opens with Real Sociedad de Futbol SAD from Spain facing GHC Ritm Grodno (Belarus). The first meeting of these teams and Ritm’s first time in the EuroHockey Club Cup since 2011. At 14.30 Surbiton HC, current England champions face Germany’s Der Club an der Alster.

At 16.45 on the same day ‘s-Hertogenbosch face first timers Loreto HC (Ireland). Den Bosch, as they are commonly known, are without a doubt the most successful women’s club team, having lifted this Cup 6 of the last 9 editions. The final game of the evening (at 19.00)  sees last years finalists UHC Hamburg take on hosts AH&BC Amsterdam. It’s 2014 since Amsterdam last won this Cup so they will be hoping that home advantage will be a factor.

On 20th April, the losing teams of this initial encounter will playoff for the classification games on Monday and essential ranking points for EHL Women in 2020.

The semi-final games will take place on the morning of 21st April to see who will be in the final, EuroHockey Club Cup Final.

Monday 22nd April will be a full day of games to determine the ranking 1-8.
