Marijn Veen – the youngest of our EHCC Ambassadors

17th April 2019

Our final Ambassador is from our 2019 host club Amsterdam H&BC, Marijn Veen.

At just 22 she is the youngest ambassador this year and is blossoming in her club and international career, this being her second season with AH&BC.  Her hockey dream is to get to an Olympics with the Dutch women and to follow in the footsteps of many of her teammates and take Olympic Gold!

In the meantime, she is working towards her Bachelor degree and looking ahead to also taking a Masters Degree. She loves travelling, both with hockey and in her spare time. She’s pretty ambitious about her travel plans, wanting to explore the world.

She knows that they will have a battle on their hands as they face UHC Hamburg in their opening game “They have a few internationals and I think a really strong attack! I’m looking forward to playing against them!” and perhaps taking ‘revenge’ on their semi-final loss at the EHCC in 2018.

She is very much looking forward to being part of the host team later this week “I look forward to playing in the EHCC in our amazing Wagener Stadium in front of our home crowd. The field is just perfect and it’s nice that this amazing event takes place in our Stadium”.

Thanks, Marijn we are very excited about seeing you play later this week!
