EHCC U14 2019 – report

Posted On 21st April 2019

On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April 2019 Amsterdamsche H&BC was host of the 3rd EHCC U14 for girls.

Girls U14 teams from Spain (Junior FC), England (Surbiton HC), Germany (Der Club an der Alster) and the Nethelands (AH&BC Amsterdam and HC ‘s-Hertogenbosch) participated. On Saturday 10 pool matches were played and the last classification matches on Sunday morning.

It has been a great 2 days with superb matches, great goals and nice friendships that were made. Also worth mentioning the fact that we have had 12 matches without any cards being given which is a great example of fairplay.

EHF is very happy with the great support of Amsterdamsche Hockey & Bandy Club before and during the 3rd EHCC U14. In 2017 5 girls teams participated in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, last year in London 6 and now 5 again in Amsterdam. The host club with all their volunteers did a marvellous job.

Without the 3rd team, the officials and umpires, the event couldn’t be held. A huge thankyou to the KNHB for appointing the officials and umpires. Also a great thing to mention was the help of some young U14 boys from host club AH&BC Amsterdam who acted as table judges. EHF Youth Leader Chloe Jordan from Wales was also present to help these 2 days.

EHF Vice-President Carola Meyer and former AH&BC Amsterdam and German international player Julia Müller handed over the medals to the bronze, silver and gold medal winners. During the EHCC semi-final received huge applause of the fans in the Wagener Stadium.
