Day two EuroHockey Club Challenge IV, Men, Malta

Posted On 7th June 2019

Match 1: Eagles HC 6 – 1 Kringsja HC

It seems like it’s going to be a high-scoring affair whenever these two teams are on the pitch. A goalless first quarter as both teams tested each other, before a goal one minute into the second quarter set the tone for the men in orange, with Julian Lopez taking his tally up to four goals in two matches. Eagles kept up the pace, ending the final quarter with three goals in quick succession to finish off the match comfortably.

Match 2: Seinajoki 1 – 0 Kilppari

The first low scoring match of the tournament between the two Finnish teams. A goal by Mikko Fiskaali in the first quarter was enough for Seinajoki to beat their compatriots.

Match 3: Floriana Youngstars 1 – 2 Luxembourg HC

A tight affair between the two teams trying to get their first win in the groups. Luxembourg HC managed to go two goals ahead, with Floriana Youngstars chasing the tie, only managing to get a consolation goal.

Match 4: Qormi Daikin HC 3 – 1 Epitok HC

The hosts continued their winning ways against the Hungarian side, going three goals unanswered in the first two quarters. A tense match saw both sides cautioned multiple times. Epitok managed to grab a consolation goal in the final quarter after pressing Qormi Daikin in their half for the last fifteen minutes.
