Posted On 14th June 2019

Fridays are all about bringing news from around Europe of Development and Educations programmes, good news and delivering on plans made around Europe through our series #FridayFocus.

On Sunday the 9th June, we have the proof that distinguished hockey individuals and top organizations that have believed in the Education Plan of Greece have seen the start of this dream realised!

The huge turnout of young players and coaches gives us hope for the future as the 1st Athens Junior League has happened..

The team was made up of:

Thomas, The Coach

Basten and Arjen, Assistant Coaches.

Costas and Aggelis, Strikers

Yorgos, PlayMaker

Aristi, Maria and Panos, Defence and not forgetting Jorgos… Kicking Back…

The 2nd Athens Junior Hockey League will be held between 15th  Nov and 15th December 2019. There is much work still to do, including the restart of hockey in the schools.

More to follow on this awesome work being led by Thomas Tichelman, but for today just enjoy the happy hockey players and their coaches!
