Wales get off to a winning start at the EuroHockey Junior Championship III

Match 1: Wales vs Lithuania 6:1
A very enthusiastic start in the first quarter with both sides having some chances, lead to the fast and physical game. Nevertheless, the score was opened only in the very end of the second quarter by WALL via penalty corner and closed the second half with a fast field goal by NEWBOLD, leaving Wales with 2 goals in front of Lithuanian team.
Starting with the fast goal from Wales team by BRADSHAW during the penalty corner, Wales team assured their lead in the game. Having control of the field game, they followed with an additional goal by WALL. Despite the 4:0 result, Lithuanian team added some additional intensity to the game by realizing their penalty corner with the shot to the left corner of the goals by LAKSTAUSKAS. Taking the game into their hands Wales realized one more field goal via DRAPER and despite several unsuccessful tries to trap the ball, Wales finalized the game with scoring their last goal via RILEY from a penalty corner leaving the final score 6:1.
