At the final day of the EuroHockey Junior Championship III it is Wales who took the glory in a tight game v Ukraine.
Day 4 – Wales vs Ukraine 4:3
In the final game for the promotion to Eurohockey Junior Championship II between Wales and Ukraine kept the spectators’ attention till the last minute. Wales started with two fast goals at the end of the first quarter by WALL realizing penalty stroke and penalty corner the same minute. Even so, team Ukraine did not have any attempt to lose the game, so they concentrated on higher pressure and realized their penalty stroke by SOLOMIANYI.
The second half of the game was even more intense after SOLOMIANYI realized the second goal for Ukraine, which led to an equal result of 2:2. All cards had to be played in the last quarter. DZEMUKH personal dribbling through half of the pitch and backhand hit lead Ukraine in front by one goal. 6 minutes left to the end of the game BRADSHAW equalized the result by the field goal and the moment everyone was started to think about shoot-outs, but Wales managed to organize their last attack via BRADSHAW scoring their golden goal in the last 30 seconds of the game, awarding themselves with promotion to Eurohockey Junior Championship II!
