Day 2 Roundup EuroHockey Championship IV, Men, Helsinki

On the second day of the Men’s EuroHockey Championship IV two exciting matches took place.

Match 3: Cyprus v Norway 1-1 

In the first match of the day,  Cyprus took on Norway in an eventful match. The match started out even with both teams struggling to score during the first period. Towards the end of the second quarter, Norway’s efforts were successful with Carcha Arunpreet Singh scoring from a PC at 27th minute giving Norway the lead. The match saw some cards being given to both teams but Norway held onto their 1-0 lead throughout the third quarter. Cyprus made an amazing come back with Weare Nicholas James scoring during the 60’ minute with just seconds to go. As the final whistle went, this exciting match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Match 4: Hungary v Slovenia 3-2 

In the second match of the day, Hungary and Slovenia battled it out. First half was fast-paced and even. Just seconds before the halftime whistle, Hungary’s Leber Sebastian scored from a PC making the score at halftime 1-0. Third-quarter saw PC goals from both teams with Slovenia’s Maucec Franc scoring at 38’ minutes and Hungary’s Leber Sebastian giving Hungary the lead again at 42’ minutes. Last quarter turned out to be the most eventful one of the evening. Both Potokar Nejc of Slovenia and Ficzere Zsombor scored at 56 minutes bringing the final score to 3-2 for Hungary.
