The EHF is pleased to announce the Indoor Appointments for 2020 via the Appointments Web System on the EHF site.
Over the weekend we caught up with some of our Technical Delegates (all incidentally are former International players) who will lead the teams of officials at our events in 2020.
EuroHockey Indoor Championship, Men, Berlin 17/19 January 2020
The appointed TD is Casper Guldbrandsen, he was delighted to get this nice surprise over the weekend, we asked Casper as a former player how does this assist him as TD? “My past as an international playing career has helped me to understand the importance of consistency, accuracy and flexibility the officials’ team working together with the umpiring team has to perform throughout a tournament. Gaining the teams’ respect helps our work to help the teams to perform up to their best. “
EuroHockey Indoor Championship in Minsk, Belarus 24/26 January 2020
The appointed TD is Magda Nazaret, on hearing of her appointment she said “I am truly honoured and very grateful to EHF for entrusting me with the role of a Technical Delegate at such an important event as the EuroHockey Indoor Championships. For me personally, this appointment means that commitment pays off and that we should never give up on our passions despite the difficulties of life. It is proof that when you love what you do, there are no barriers to making your dreams come true. It is also an opportunity for me to provide all the participants, and especially players, with the best sports environment to play hockey and to make the most out of it, which, as a former Polish National Team player I know matters a lot.
EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup, The Hague, The Netherlands 14/16 February 2020
And we also had a moment with the TD of the Women’s EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup (Sabina Zampetti) which will take place in The Hague (NED) 14/16 February 2020, Sabina Zampetti “I am delighted and excited to have been appointed as TD to the EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup in The Hague. Being back in my second home nation where I grew up and started to play hockey is a real gift for me. My Dutch mother, unfortunately disabled, will be able to come and see me as Technical Delegate for the first time! The amazing hockey skills I learned in the Netherlands led me to my 10 years of international playing career representing Italy. It’s funny that precisely in The Hague, I played the National Indoor Championships back in 1987. I feel truly privileged receiving this appointment from the EHF Appointment Committee and look forward to working with all hockey friends for Europe’s Indoor Top Clubs Tournament!”
EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup, Poznan, Poland 14/16 February 2020
Chris Brewer, TD said “I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed to the Indoor Club Cup in Poznan. It is arguably the highest standard indoor club competition in the World and to be part of it will be a great honour. It is vitally important that the third team are as fully prepared as the clubs themselves so the work will start in the next few weeks in contacting the UM’s, Umpires and officials to commence our planning for this prestigious event. It will be my first time in Poland and I know the hosts have plenty of experience of hosting top-level indoor events which will certainly help the smooth running of the tournament.”
A big thanks from the EHF to all our officials who volunteer their time for hockey.
