17th September 2019, Brussels: The EHF Competitions Committee Outdoor met last weekend in Amsterdam for its second meeting of 2019.
Ahead of the meeting, the Regulations Working Group met earlier last week via webinar and its suggestions and recommendations were presented to the Competitions Committee Outdoor during its meeting on Friday 13th September. Some updates to the various EHF Regulations will be made ASAP.
The Committee discussed calendar issues. Moreover, it discussed the way forward with regard to events due to the FIH not continuing with the Hockey Series Opens/Finals. Recommendations to the EHF Executive Board were made to be discussed at the upcoming Board meeting.
All 2019 club events and Senior, Junior and U16 Championship events were evaluated. All hosts were thanked for their enormous efforts, as well as all the officials and umpires.
The Committee received updates regarding EHF, EHL and FIH matters. The Committee was also updated on the U18 Championships events due to take place in the summer of 2020.
The Committee considered all entries and Applications to Host the 2020 club events and decided on the hosts. These will be published on Wednesday 18 September 16.00h CET.
The Committee also considered all entries and Applications to Host the 2021 U21 Invitational events and made recommendations to the EHF Executive Board which will be held on 20-21 September 2019.
After the EHF Executive Board has met the various announcements will be made.
