On Thursday 12th December we will have a celebration of 2019 and all that has happened across the EHF Member Associations in relation to ParaHockey ID.
It is a wonderful time for coaches and administrators to network, share knowledge, experiences and review the year (Cronos Euro ParaHockey Championship) as well as plan for the upcoming year.
EHF Development and Education Manager, Tom Pedersen Smith said “The Forum will take place in the EHF’s office in Brussels and with a record attendance last year of 22 we are hoping to beat that! The joy and passion in the room is something that is very special, to be honest, and it is what drives us on to ensure that hockey continues to be more and more inclusive. It also gives us the time to look at the EHF’s Vision for ParaHockey. For the first time, we will be addressed as a group by one of our athletes. Juan Andres de Koning (pictured left) is our ParaHockey Ambassador and he will share with us his experiences.”
Anna-Sofia de Koning& Marlène Döderlein de Win (NED) will deliver a piece on the Power of Social Media.
FIH lead on ParaHockey, Norman Hughes will address the meeting with a piece on Safeguarding our sport and the importance of classification, eligibility and divisioning.
And then to the exciting business of planning exchanges, festivals and events for 2020!
EHF President, Marijke Fleuren will close the meeting with a thank you to the delegates and will no doubt have inspiring words to keep everyone focused for the coming years!
A full report will be posted after the event.
