EHF Webinar series – time to reflect

Posted On 22nd May 2020

When it was clear that sport would have an imposed ‘pause in play’ due to the impact of the COVID19 pandemic, the EHF swiftly looked at how we could deliver quality content online to discuss and have a deep-dive learning experience into all things hockey!

Our Education and Development Manager, Tom Pedersen Smith very quickly lined-up and all start cast to deliver on some fundamental aspects of our game. “The goodwill out there from some really ‘top hitters’ in our sport to be a part of this series was just brilliant. I was delighted with how many people were willing to share their knowledge to be a part of this free series of webinars, so it came together pretty quickly. But I have to say that it would not have been possible without the expert team in Coach Logic and our facilitator Jack Rolfe of The Coaching Lab.”

We delivered 6 Webinars over 6 Monday lunchtimes

  • In conversation with Bobby Crutchley
  • Jamilion Mülders – working on the international scene
  • Value-Based Coaching – Sofie Gierts in conversation with Joy Jouret
  • Rule the Game – Coen van Bunge and Bernardo Fernandes
  • Peak Performance with Alyson Annan
  • Maddie Hinch – Her personal journey

The stats speak for themselves, 1,299 people from 44 countries worldwide and some 1,150 minutes of content watched.

Speaking about future planning, Tom said “We have decided that for the moment we are going into closed webinar groups for those coaches who are currently studying on our Coaches for Europe and Top Coaches Programmes. We are looking into another EHF Webinar Series later in the year and will advise in due course on that.”
